Condominium Owners
 
Condominium owners did you know?- Under section 33 of the Alberta Condominium Act, the bylaws of the corporation are set out in Appendix 1 of the Act, and those bylaws remain in force in respect of that corporation until they are repealed or replaced. Those bylaws require audited financial statements. Since the Act does not specify the qualifications of the auditor, the most cost efficient approach to this requirement is to have two board members certify that they have audited the financial statements once they have performed their due diligence. In a smaller condominium with relatively routine transactions this could be an avenue to consider depending on the members risk tolerance.
